Today’s story comes to you from Irene Bonner. Irene shared a story on the theme of “Ink” at Tiger! Tiger! Tavern in San Diego on June 14, 2016.

We have a metric shit ton of exciting shows in the near future. Our regular Denver show is this Wednesday, August 17 at Buntport Theater.

This Thursday, our San Diego enclave will be hosting their second special performance at the Museum of Man as part of their summer evening programming. The show is a kinda sorta Best of the San Diego Narrators as they approach their one-year anniversary on the best coast. The show starts at 7PM and is free with museum admission.

On Saturday, August 27, at 5PM, The Narrators will be a part of the High Plains Comedy Festival, with an all-star lineup that is guaranteed to make you wet your pants. I GUARANTEE IT.

We’ll be back next month in our usual haunts and our theme will be “Change of Heart.”

Today’s story comes to you from Calandra Rothrock. Calandra has been telling stories her whole life; ranging from angsty pre-teen poetry, to angsty college folk music, to less-angsty Shakespeare in the Park. Most Sundays she can be found soothing the beast of her theatrical calling by feeding it a steady diet of the laughter of preschoolers as she appears as Ms. Frizzle at the San Diego Natural History Museum. This story was recorded live at Tiger!Tiger! Tavern on 10 May 2016 when The Narrators took on the theme of “Tongues.”

June is already breathing down our necks and our regular monthly shows are riding astride for the first month of summer, staring straight at you—first on 14 June in San Diego at Tiger!Tiger! Tavern and the very next day on 15 June in Denver at Buntport Theater. Both shows are free, both start at 8pm, and both will focus on the theme “Ink.”

This week’s story comes to you from Blair Overstreet. Blair is a writer and educator, and produces shows for our friends at So Say We All, a juggernaut of the San Diego storytelling/literary community. Blair’s story was recorded live on 8 March at Tiger!Tiger! Tavern in San Diego, California and the theme for the evening was “OUCH!” Blair’s story may evince some wincing, as it was perfectly aligned with the theme.

If you haven’t already, please like our page on Facebook to stay up to date on all of these events and more.

Today’s story comes to you from San Diego writer Joe Holland, recorded live on 8 March 2016 at Tiger!Tiger! Tavern in San Diego, California; the theme of the evening was “Ouch.”

Thanks to everyone who came out to our 6th anniversary show at Buntport Theater in Denver this month. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our storytellers and our audience, both of which surprise us every month by the depth of their humanity, their humor and strength. We look forward to spending six more years with you.

A special thanks also to the good folks who came out to our new monthly show in collaboration with Finest City Improv in San Diego. Moment of Truth made its debut on March 18th and we had a blast working with the audience to develop themes that volunteers would choose at random and improvise a five-minute true story around. It was exhilarating!

Our regular April shows will be turning to the theme of “All is Fair…” and we have a few special collaborations coming down the pipe, so keep an eye out for details.
