    81: Kendall Burdett, “Pretend Lawyer”

Robert steps up on his soap box with a mini rant about what makes a good story and presents this week’s tale, which comes to you from Kendall Burdett, a writer, comedian, and native San Diegan who wears a suit well enough to convince officers of the law that he is an attorney. This story was recorded live on 10 November 2015 at Tiger!Tiger! Tavern in San Diego, California. The theme of the evening was “Bottled Up.”

We’re pleased as pickles to be part of the Stompin’ Ground Games, a monthly neighborhood pride festival put on by our friends at Warm Cookies of the Revolution. Please join us on Saturday, 14 November at Four Mile Historic Park for an afternoon of storytelling (that’s us!), free cookies, activities for adults and families, historians, prizes, folklorico dancers, poets, and an adorable multicultural fashion show featuring kids from the neighborhood. We’d love to see you there. 4PM FREE ($5 suggested donation).

Our next monthly show in Denver is next week on Wednesday, 18 November at 8pm. Join us at Buntport Theater for an evening of stories on the theme “If You Can’t Say Something Nice.”

Our theme music is by our friend Whalehawk (aka the Grammy-nominated musician Jake Sanders).
