    17 June 2015: “WTF”

    BUNTPORT, 17 JUNE at 8:00PM:

Your ex-boyfriend won a Tony Award for writing an off-Broadway play with a plot that feels uncomfortably like your life. You thought you were living in a post-racial society. You learned the foxtrot and tango while drinking whiskey. Mind-controlling wasps. Smart refrigerators. Botox for poodles. You get the idea. Join us for an evening of stories that make you think, WTF?! As always, we have a superhuman lineup of storytellers:

    Christie Buchele (Empty Girlfriend)
    Jordan Doll (Crush City)
    Kitten Karlyle
Kevin O’Brien (These Things Matter, Arguments & Grievances, Service Stories)
    Ellen Nordberg (Stories on Stage)
    Adam Stone (Screwtooth, Cabal)

…and your host, Erin Rollman, navigating us through the X-Files evidence warehouse that is her everyday life. We’ll have beer and wine available for donation (bring cash). See you there!

    54: Number Two, Part 2

This episode, the second of a two-part series on the theme “Number Two,” features stories from Narrators co-host Andrew Orvedahl and comedian Christie Buchele. These stories were recorded live at Buntport Theater on October 15, 2014.

Our next live show takes place on January 21, 2015 at 8:00pm—the theme of the evening will be “Self Help.” See you there!

Our theme music is by our friend Whalehawk (aka the Grammy-nominated musician Jake Sanders).

  • Thursday Night! The Narrators on “Two Sides to Every Story”

Our October show is going to consist of a little experiment.  We thought it might be fun to explore the nature of truth in true storytelling by looking at an age old adage, that there are two sides to every story.  We have invited pairs of storytellers to share their versions of a shared experience or story.  We’re hoping to dig into what makes a story a story, what we can learn by looking in between the gaps, etc.  It should be a hoot.  8pmat the usual haunt, Deer Pile above City O’ City in beautiful Denver, CO.

    Here’s our lineup:

    Mara Wiles and Nancy Wiles

    Jordan Doll and Christie Buchele

    Josiah Hesse and Taylor Gonda

    Mary Robertson and Robert Rutherford
