Episode 168: Our story today comes from Denver comic artist, Lonnie MF Allen. He told this story about teenage angst in rural New Mexico—and remembering to always call out bullshit—in front of a live audience on 16 May 2018 at Buntport Theater in Denver, Colorado. The theme of the evening was “Rocking The Boat.”
Episode 167: Our story today comes from Michael Madden, an actor, director, producer and writer in San Diego’s local theater scene. He told this story about his father live at Tiger! Tiger! Tavern last month. The theme of the evening was “Rocking the Boat.”
Episode 166: Today’s story comes from Amanda Hergott. She told this story about her past as a fraternity member colliding with her present as a trans woman on 18 April 2018 at Buntport Theater in Denver, Colorado—the theme of the evening was “Clubs.”
Episode 165: Jordan Grasso is an adjunct professor of sociology at Palomar College in North County San Diego but she’s on her way to Florida to pursue a Phd! We wish her luck and thank her for telling this story about her many encounters with alligators, told at our “Rocking the Boat” show at Tiger! Tiger! Tavern on 8 May 2018.
Episode 164: Our story today comes from Denver comedian and dear friend of The Narrators, Christie Buchele. Christie told this story at our 8th anniversary show back in March, with a little help from fellow comedian and friend of the show Talitha K. Each story that night was accompanied by sound painting, a.k.a. live improvised music from our pals at Playground Ensemble. The whole evening was an interesting experiment, full of bumps and surprises and supremely real moments. The story you’ll hear today was one of our favorites of the night.
