    Episode 205: Your next storyteller is artist and comedian Kira MagCalen. Kira is the creator of Turbulent Flow, a digital repository for all of her creative work, including the incredible illustration that she recently made for our podcast cover art. You should find and follow her on Instagram too; Ron highly recommends checking out her “Honest Monsters” series. This was Kira’s first time sharing a story at The Narrators. Her story was recorded live on 15 January 2020; the theme of the evening was “Vision.”

Chris shared this story—about his early days of doing standup comedy in San Francisco, enthusiastic eSport tech bros, World of Warcraft fans, and t-shirt cannons—as part of The Narrators’ special performance at High Plains Comedy Festival. His story was recorded live on 28 September 2019 at Hi-Dive in Denver; the theme of the show was “Bomb.”

    It’s our final show of the year. Join us for an evening of true stories on the theme “Ritual” at Buntport Theater on Wednesday, 18 December 2019 at 8:00pm. Doors open at 7:15pm.

    The Narrators is free to attend, but about half of the seats are available for reservation. Reserved seats are $5 each. We recommend reservations if you cannot arrive early, don’t want to risk sitting on the floor, or if you would just like to support the show. Folks with reservations can also receive a free beer or margarita (with purchase of entreé) at Illegal Pete’s as part of their Soundcheck program!
