Stompin’ Ground Games on Saturday!

November 12, 2015

THIS SATURDAY, 14 NOVEMBER 2015:

Your rump is raw from the 3-month journey from Kansas City. Your eldest boy has scabies and your rations of jerky and hard-tack have run thin. An oil lamp in the window of Four-Mile House feels like a beacon, welcoming you to your new home—Denver. Or something like that. Join us tomorrow for a special Stompin’ Ground Games edition of The Narrators. In addition to all the fun activities and presentations, we have assembled an amazing lineup of storytellers on the theme “How We Got Here”:

• Molina Speaks (MC, poet)
• Shelly Hines (Jewish Family Service)
• Addis Sisay (African Community Center)
• Bhuwani Shankar (Picture. Me. Here.)
• Rosa Snyder (Community Language Cooperative)
• Bill Convery (Former Colorado State Historian)

Stompin’ Ground Games is a monthly neighborhood pride festival put on by our friends at Warm Cookies of the Revolution. There will be storytelling (that’s us!), free cookies, activities for adults and families, historians, prizes, Méxican folklorico dancers, poets, and an adorable multicultural fashion show featuring kids from McMeen Elementary School. We’d love to see you there.

Stompin’ Ground Games, 14 November, 4-6pm, FREE ($5 suggested donation)
